Doug Thomas, Ph.D. – CEO/CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD/FOUNDER
Doug co-founded Laboratory Skin Care (LSC) in 1993, a dermatology-facing company. Acting as COO, he built the corporation’s operations from the ground up. He also developed an OTC persistent hand sanitizer and a micro-carrier system called “Hydroxysomes.” Though initially developed to stabilize and deliver bio-actives through the skin, Hydroxysomes’ eventual breakdown and delivery of calcium, an important micro-nutrient in the skin, led to L’Oreal becoming LSC’s largest customer. LSC, being an expert in formulating with Hydroxysomes, Doug began to help formulate for L’Oreal and others to create products such as Age Reperfect, a product, and Lancôme – Platinéum. Today, some 230 high-end cosmetic products use this technology. Merck Ag eventually purchased LSC’s holdings.

Christopher’s focus on developing streamlined operational structures and implementing modern sales, marketing and business development strategies continues to enable both global and domestic expansions for Avant labs.
Prior to starting Avant labs, Christopher founded Flarehire, Inc, Embody Health Solutions, Miratech Labs and spent more than 23 years leading global and domestic US teams in the medical and technology environments. His experience includes tenure with Baxter International, Boston Scientific, Lifecell/KCI and Stryker, along with multiple US government agencies and technology start-ups. Christopher is a graduate of Pepperdine University, completing his Master of Business Administration through the Presidents and Key Executives program in the Graziadio School of Business Management in Malibu, CA USA. We take a personalized and evidence-based approach to wellness, utilizing the latest research and techniques to help our clients achieve their health goals.
Wira Soedarmono, MBA – CTO/BOARD MEMBER/CO-FOUNDER
Wira’s journey as an entrepreneur began in 1996 when he co-founded Digital Odyssey Communication (ODC), an Internet Service Provider (ISP). As CTO, he was instrumental in building the technology infrastructure that allowed customers to connect to the Internet and the architecture for developing dynamic websites through CMS for business customers. This expertise led to Pacific Bell’s acquisition of ODC to architect and develop a Yellow Pages online. After the M&A, Wira held multiple positions as a software engineer in Fortune 100 companies and gradually became a technology executive.
